This made me actually laugh. I've ALWAYS used Dunk with Protection, your theory is flawed.
He doesn't do it for me for some reason Dunk and Tahlk.

Why don't people bring e. management skills on their monks? [hero or npc?]

It's almost as if they think monk's natural regen will always make it work. I don't have a monk, I use Ogden and Tahlkora for healing and protection respectively and both of them carry some nasty surprises for parties I'm in.

also, if you think they 'spam' useless non-heal skills you put on their skill bars, you're wrong [at least in my exp.]

Ogden

Healing Whisper
Words of Comfort
Dwayna's Kiss
Healing Touch
Light of Deliverance {E}
Renew Life
Remove Hex [maybe Cure Hex later, gah]
Channeling

Tahlkora

Guardian
Reversal of Fortune
Protective Spirit
Dismiss Conditions
Aegis
Air of Enchantment {E}
Remove Hex
Channeling

Both run 16 in their respective stats, 12 Divine Favor, and 6 Channeling [yay runes]

Some people said that using channeling on the heroes means they spam it wasting energy [farkin' qucktards] Upon closer inspection, with their status bars up, they really only use channeling when a fight starts, or after it wears off... you know, when they're supposed to]

what's really nice is that if the pve mobs we're fighting are stupidly large and none of them have enchant stripping, none of their e. pools drop below 25...

Channeling ftw!
What would be better for hex removal btw? I'm just curious.

I don't put Channeling on my Monk heroes because if I give them good skills instead of a bunch of dumb red bars skills they don't have energy problems. Glyph of Lesser Energy is more than enough energy. I'm not going to take points out of something important to support a Channeling that doesn't do anything for me.

The only real choices are cure hex or spotless mind. Cure hex gives you a big heal, but kinda sucks at actually cleaning up hex spam. Spotless mind requires a major rune or a 20% enchantment mod, but does an awesome job of keeping people clean.

I almost always take spotless mind, since LoD and dwayna's kiss heal everything just fine.
